A Three-Day Escape to Stunning Santorini

Santorini lived up to its reputation as one of Greece's most beautiful islands during my recent 3 day getaway there. The white washed towns carved into volcanic rock cliffs overlooking the deep blue Aegean sea were stunning.

Staying in a cozy cave villa rental was a highlight. Our balcony hot tub offered front row seats to Santorini's incredible sunsets each evening.

Wandering the charming towns and taking in the caldera views never got old. Oia was my favorite with its white stone streets and iconic blue domed churches. I'll miss those vistas.

Santorini's food and wine scene impressed me too. The tomatoes were so flavorful! We indulged in delicious fresh seafood and Greek salads made with produce from the island's volcanic soil. And the local white wines like Assyrtiko were crisp and refreshing, especially when paired with a cliffside sunset.

By visiting in the shoulder season, we dodged intense summer crowds and had flexibility to wander off-the-beaten-path spots or relax at our villa when needed.

After just 3 days on Santorini, I was smitten by the island's beauty and charm. The sun-drenched days and serene ambience won me over. This Greek island getaway exceeded my high expectations.
